Cool Beans



It was a snowy day in Scarborough, and we searched the pantry for something to eat. Spaghetti with ketchup, anyone? We found some white beans, olive oil, garlic and lemons. Always keen for a little experimentation in the kitchen, we threw everything in the food processor and Eureka! Cool Beans™ was born.


We ate the dip with homemade pita chips and thought, “Hey, this is good enough to serve to guests, even when it’s not snowing.” So we put it out next time some friends came over, and it was gone faster than you can say “olive oil-white bean puree.” It was only a matter of time before someone said those famous words, “You should bottle and sell this stuff,” and we thought, That’s not such a bad idea…
